KYC Norms

✅ Basic KYC Requirements for Credit Cards

1️⃣ Identity Proof (Who you are)

Any ONE of these is usually accepted:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • PAN Card (mandatory for credit cards)
  • Passport
  • Voter ID
  • Driving Licence

👉 PAN is compulsory because credit cards involve credit reporting and tax compliance.

2️⃣ Address Proof (Where you live)

Accepted documents include:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Utility bill (electricity, gas, water — recent)
  • Passport
  • Rental agreement
  • Bank statement with address

👉 Address must match your application details.

3️⃣ Income Proof (Your repayment capacity)

This is what makes credit cards different from debit cards.

For salaried persons:

  • Salary slips (last 3 months)
  • Bank statement showing salary
  • Form 16

For self-employed:

  • ITR (Income Tax Return)
  • Business proof
  • Bank statements

👉 Some entry-level cards may skip income proof if you have strong bank history.

4️⃣ Photo & Signature Verification

Banks verify:

  • Your photo
  • Signature
  • Mobile number
  • Email ID

This may be done digitally or via video KYC.
